Kärcher has added two steam cleaners with a very good price-performance ratio to its product line. The newly developed SC 1020 and SC 1030 clean floors, fittings and hobs without the need for chemicals. Furthermore, a steam iron can be connected to the SC 1030.

Both steam cleaners come equipped with a hand nozzle, detail nozzle, round brush and the new floor tool. Instead of a skirt of widely spaced bristles, the underside of the floor tool now has a continuous skirt made of plastic vanes, which keep the hot steam under the tool for longer. This means that a cloth clipped to the floor tool is more thoroughly and evenly wet, which increases dirt dissolving power by up to 35%. All tools are accommodated in holders on the back of the steam cleaners.

Unlike conventional steam irons, the SC 1030 operates with a high pressure (3.2 bar) and thus cuts the time required in half. The steam penetrates even multiple layers of fabric or heavy fabric and smooths them in a single pass. As the continuous flow of steam prevents the material from being overheated – regardless of whether it is cotton, silk or linen – the iron can always be used at the maximum setting.

Both steam cleaners have compact dimensions. The steam cleaners have casters so they can be pulled along behind the user and there is also a convenient carrying handle. The Kärcher safety lock allows the tank cap to be opened only when the boiler is no longer under pressure.
